Pricing FAQs
Some answers to your questions regarding Paycycle’s Pricing Plans.
What happens when I register?
When you sign up for the Free Trial, you will receive an email with your registration confirmation and password. You are then entitled to use the software for free, unrestricted, for as many employees as you like, and with all our features enabled for a period of 30 days. If you choose to use Paycycle beyond those 30 days, you will need to purchase a subscription for at least the minimum level of employees for which you have entered. This is done from within Paycycle itself, not through this website.
We will let you know how long you have to go in your trial, and send you an email just before expiry to remind you to purchase a subscription. If your trial has expired you will continue to be able to log in to Paycycle, and operate everything as normal, except you will be unable to post your pay run.
Do you offer discounts for yearly subscriptions?
We no longer offer yearly subscriptions since in Q1 2012 Paycycle will no longer exist as a standalone product, but as part of Xero.
For more information, please check our Paycycle & Xero FAQs page.
Do you offer discounts for Multi Companies?
Yes. If you operate more than one company and you want to use Paycycle for all of them, we'll give you a 10% discount. Drop us an email at support@paycycle.com.au or heading over to support.paycycle.com.au and state your name, email and which companies (with their ABNs) you are managing and we'll get back to you. If you are an accountant or bookkeeper, you might want to check our Partner Program.
I'm growing and will hire a new employee next month, so instead of 5 I'll have 6 employees. How can I upgrade?
It's good that you are growing! And we can grow by your side! You can upgrade easily, just go to Billing and Subscriptions (within the software, under Settings) and select the new plan you want. If you have doubts, feel free to email us at support@paycycle.com.au.
What are the different Features?
Number of Employees is how many employees were paid using Paycycle during the previous billing cycle.
Full Payrun Functionality is everything a pay run stands for: managing employees, running a full pay run and staying compliant. Automatic tax calculations, super calculations, export payslips and the likes.
Full Reporting alludes to the fact that there are a number of reports available in the software. This number will be increasing in time.
Paycycle produces an ABA file for each posted pay run. You login to Internet Banking, upload it and that will give the bank the instructions to pay your employees.
Multi user allows for the fact that you want to someone else adjust the pay runs and you only want to post them. This feature allows you to have multiple users concurrently using Paycycle.
Payslip Customisation allows you to add your company logo is currently available upon request. In the near future additional features will be available, such as changing fonts, colours and the likes.
Automatic Super Payments will allow you to sign a legal agreement that spells out your bank account details, and when you press "GO" (so to speak) in the application, the payment will come out of your bank account and be distributed to the Super funds.
Automatic Employee Payments (will be available shortly) allows you to automatically pay your employees in the same manner outlined above. No ABA files, no nothing. Just click!
If I have 5 employees, am I limited to the Micro Plan?
No! If you are a small business, you can choose ANY plan, depending on the features you want. As the plan gets bigger, the number of features available becomes larger (as well as the amount of employees you can manage).
Why are the automated payments features available in Larger Plans?
We'd love to be able to make available automatic super payments and automatic employee payments in the lower price ranges, but it's just not financially feasible. There is a physical cost associated with each time you make a payment to say a super fund or an employee. There are bank and transactional integrations that we get charged for. So at the smaller plans we would be going backwards. Hence, we decided to offer automated payments in larger plans that could support that type of service.
Why don't you offer additional features to everyone for an additional fee on top of the monthly subscription?
Basically, because we don’t like that philosophy and it’s against everything we stand for. We hate it when we sign up for a service and then there are hidden fees (like “Oh, if you wanted THAT, you need to pay an extra $$$”). We’d rather be honest up front and commit to no additional fees than the price of the monthly plan you choose. Crystal clear, for EVERYONE. If you want the additional feature, you just move to a larger plan that has the feature you want.
